Comedian Pete Davidson has finally opened about the first time he listened to his ex-fiancee Ariana Grande’s chart-breaking single Thank U, Next, which was released in November 2018. The song, that went on to take the world by a storm after it garnered the most number of views within 24 hours of release on Youtube, addressed all of the singer-songwriter’s exes.

A report published in Daily Mail revealed what the Saturday Night Live star had to say about the release of the track. ‘It was a sad day. We didn’t know it was going to happen,’ said Pete Davidson, who was mentioned in one of the opening lines of the song, “Even almost got married, and for Pete, I’m so thankful.”

Referring to an SNL skit which was set to go on air later that night, Pete said, ‘That s**t came out before I had to put on a f**king duck hat and be like, “Derrrp here’s the pizza!”‘

The Big Time Adolescence actor reportedly told his friends who stood by him, “This won’t be easy, this is rough” as he listened to the song. ‘So I start playing it. And we’re all like, “Ehhh… it’s ok.” We’re like “Okay, it’s not that bad for you. It’s bad, but it’s not that bad for you,”‘ he added.  Also Read | Ariana Grande asks fans to be gentler with ex-fiancé Pete Davidson after he claims being cyber-bullied by them
