VIDOR —

First Baptist Church Vidor was contacted by law enforcement on Sunday evening December 30, 2018, about the events leading to the arrest of Tony Albert by Seguin Police. Church leadership is unaware of any motivation prompting Mr. Albert’s actions. Currently the church is cooperating fully with law enforcement agencies in this investigation.

First Baptist Church Vidor continues to make the safety and well-being of those in attendance at worship services a priority. The church has a security plan in place. It currently utilizes off duty law enforcement officers for security purposes.

The church will continue to follow the direction of government authorities in this important matter and has no further comments regarding this situation due to the on-going investigation. We continue to pray for Mr. Albert’s well being.
