Microsoft has quietly added a new feature to the latest Edge Canary build that will allow users to switch between search engines. The company rolled out Chromium-based Edge last week and has been actively updating it with new features.
The new feature is currently available in the latest Canary build v188.8.131.52. If you’re using the Canary build then you can head to Settings>Privacy and Services>Address Bar and change the “Search engine used in the address bar”. Microsoft has set Bing as the default search engine but allows users to switch to Google, DuckDuckGo and Yahoo.
Microsoft does recommend users to set Bing as the default search engine but it comes down to the user preference.
