Neil Druckmann confirmed that Laura Bailey has finished her performance capture work as a “favorite character” in The Last of Us Part 2.

As the follow-up to one of the most critically-acclaimed video games of all time, The Last of Us Part 2 is easily among one of the most anticipated games on the horizon, and it appears that the game seems to be making its way along in development with some recently-wrapped performance capture.

Specifically, the performance capture sessions for actress Laura Bailey have been wrapped as confirmed by a photo from Neil Druckmann on Instagram. Along with the photo of Bailey after (presumably) one of her last performance capture sessions for the game, Druckmann also captioned “thanks for helping to bring one of my favorite characters to life,” and that Bailey “crushed it.”

This photo comes just a few days after it was confirmed that the rapper Logic would seemingly play a character in the game from another performance capture session, which also featured actor (and Bailey’s husband) Travis Willingham playing another character with Logic.

While we still don’t know just yet when The Last of Us Part 2 is coming, the set photos at least show some big milestones for portions of the game’s development, and hopefully later this year we’ll get to see more of the game and have an idea of when this highly-anticipated sequel will finally be in our hands.

The Last of Us Part 2 is currently in development for PS4, though no release window or date for the title has been confirmed at this time, other than some speculation that it might arrive later this year.
